Guacamole

by Irene Lindvall

I was hesitant about sharing this recipe because I like to claim it as my own, but then realized I want everyone to make great guacamole. There are a lot of subpar recipes out there. I know, because I've tried many of them. What makes this recipe the best in my book are the spices. Most include onion, tomatoes and cilantro, but it is the cayenne pepper and cumin that bring this recipe to the next level.

Fun tip: I can't recall where I learned this from, but I leave the pit in the bowl to keep the color green. It really works and it always provides fun conversation at parties.

Things I learned from this recipe:

Don't leave out any of the ingredients. I've done this before and it was disappointing.

I also do not like to over do it on the lime juice.

Would I make this recipe again?:

For the rest of our lives.
